Obtaining a judgment or order may have already set you back a fair amount, so you will be relieved to hear that enforcement costs very little.

Enforcement of a CCJ

To enforce your County Court Judgment (CCJ), it will need to be transferred to the High Court for enforcement. There is a court fee of £66 for the transfer up to obtain the writ of control.

The £66 transfer up fee is added to the amount to be recovered from your debtor, so you will get this money back if enforcement is successful.

The Sheriffs Office will manage the transfer up on your behalf - there is NO charge for this service.

If enforcement is not successful - perhaps there may be no assets, the debtor is insolvent or cannot be located - then all you pay is a compliance fee of £75 plus VAT.
