  • Note: one from the set of eight paintings inspired by episodes in Torquato Tasso’s poem La Gerusalemme Liberata by Giovanni Antonio and Francesco Guardi at Banrty House, Co Cork, Ireland. Erminia and the wounded Tancred, is now held by the Academia, Venice. Charles and Ubaldo resisting the enchantments of Armida's nymphs, is now held by the National Gallery, Washington
