It was a worrying time, we spent many thousands on legal costs over 2 years and although we had a High Court Judgement the defendants still didn't pay us. Our solicitor issued statutory demands and then suggested we use The Sheriffs Office to enforce the demands and Judgement. Our main concern was the defendants not paying and incurring even more legal costs in collection, however it was so good to hear that the only fee we had to pay was £60. The Sheriffs Office attended the defendants’ property and after much deliberation the defendants made full payment, along with interest and their collection fees. Fifteen days later we received a cheque clearing our legal costs and original debt. It was so simple, easy and effective, thanks to The Sheriffs Office, without whom it could have been a thankless and fruitless task. Thank you so much.

We started a claim in March 2009 and obtained a Judgment Order in September 2009. After attempting to secure payment against the summons, we had no choice but to employ a solicitor and in January 2011 we were told that they could not help us further. You can imagine our joy when we received your email and with very little effort and only £60 to transfer the summons to the High Court, we received our cheque for the full sum plus interest. It was not just the money that was appreciated, but the renewed faith we now have in the legal system. Anyway, we cannot accept this cheque without thanking all the members of your staff who were involved with the recovery of this debt. I can't recommend the Sheriffs Office highly enough, they are a very efficient and proffesional organisation. Two out of three debts were recovered promptly and in full, the third only being missed due to the company going into liquidation before they were able to act.
